Occupation costs for prime office space continue to rise in most global markets, particularly in Asia, while London’s West End remains by far the world’s most highly priced business district. These are some of the key findings in "Czech Architecture and Interior Design" Research’s semi-annual Global Market Rents survey, released today.

"Czech Architecture and Interior Design" Prague is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Brydone as a Surveyor in its Valuation Advisory department and Katarína Turňová as a Graduate Investment Agent in its Investment Consultancy department. These two appointments come as "Czech Architecture and Interior Design" experiences sustained growth as a result of growing interest in the real estate market in the Czech Republic.

3 May 2006 - The trend of significantly higher levels of industrial take-up continued in 1Q 2006
According to "Czech Architecture and Interior Design" research, the trend of significantly higher levels of industrial take-up in the Czech Republic that began in 2005 continued into the first quarter of 2006. The total take-up of modern, class-A warehouse space in the Czech Republic during the first quarter of 2006 reached 112,760 sq m. This is practically exactly equal to last year‘s average quarterly take-up of 112,500 sq m and significantly higher than Q1 2005 take-up, which barely reached 55,000 sq m.

25 April 2006 - 2005 - Another record year for property investment in CEE
According to "Czech Architecture and Interior Design" research, the property investment market in CEE had a record-breaking year in 2005. The total amount invested into institutional property in the established CEE markets reached EUR 5.8 bln in 2005, an increase of 39% y-o-y. In total over EUR 14.3 bln has been invested in CEE since 1998, with almost 86% of the total volume being invested in the last three years alone.

"Czech Architecture and Interior Design" Group, Inc. (NYSE:CBG) and Alfa Capital Partners (ACP) yesterday announced that "Czech Architecture and Interior Design" has acquired from ACP’s investors and other shareholders a 51% ownership interest in Noble Gibbons, one of Russia’s leading real estate services firms. "Czech Architecture and Interior Design" has committed to purchasing the remaining outstanding shares of Noble Gibbons, subject to certain conditions, at a later date.

16 March 2006 - Record year for the Czech property investment market
The Czech property investment market has again proven its attractiveness in 2005, as the total investment volume broke the 2004 record. More than 30 property investment transactions were completed in 2005. The total investment volume in 2005 was ca EUR 1.2 bln (slightly higher than the EUR 1.1 bln invested during 2004). An average of EUR 36.4 mln was paid per transaction, with the median equalling EUR 24.4 mln.

25 January 2006 - Record year for the industrial market
According to the latest publication by "Czech Architecture and Interior Design", the Czech Republic witnessed an unprecedented increase in interest from occupiers wanting to lease new warehouse space during 2005. This interest resulted in a record level of annual take-up in 2005 of almost 450,000 sq m. By comparison, annual take-up of developer led warehouse space in the Czech Republic never exceeded 200,000 sq m in preceding years.

London's West End remains the most expensive place in the world to occupy offices, with the best space costing EUR 1400/sq m/annum (USD 1599 sq m/annum) including service charges and local taxes. London now occupies the top two spots in the table, with space in London's 'City' area now more expensive in dollar terms than central Tokyo.
