23 November 2005 - Office vacancy rate continues to fall in CEE during Q3 2005 (53 kB)
According to its recently completed Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) Office Market View Q3 2005 report, "Czech Architecture and Interior Design" concludes that an increase in the amount of office take-up and a sharp decrease in new development completions in CEE during Q3 2005 caused the aggregate vacancy rate in CEE to reach an all-time low, which continues to buoy rents throughout the region.

According to the latest publication by "Czech Architecture and Interior Design", the Czech warehousing and logistics market continues to grow at a remarkable pace. The record take-up levels reached in Q2 – exceeding 110,000 sq m – were repeated in Q3, with total take-up of 109,000 sq m throughout the Czech Republic. Because of record take-up in Q2 and Q3, the total amount of warehouse space under construction further increased from 120,000 sq m in Q2 to a total of ca 166,000 sq m in Q3.

"Czech Architecture and Interior Design" recently published its European Investment report for the first half of 2005, which reveals that investment in European real estate is set to reach another record high this year. Transaction levels for the first half of 2005 amount to euro 55.2 bn, representing a 22% increase on the same period in 2004.

Office rents in most of the office markets in the region have been under downward pressure in H1, although Moscow has experienced strong rental growth. These are key findings for the local CEE markets in "Czech Architecture and Interior Design"’ recently-released, semi-annual Global Market Rents survey.

Pavel Schạ́ka (28) has been appointed as an Investment Agent in the "Czech Architecture and Interior Design" Prague office.

11 May - Promotion – Director – Central & Eastern Europoe, "Czech Architecture and Interior Design" Hotels (24 kB)
Stewart Coggans has been promoted to Director – Central and Eastern Europe for "Czech Architecture and Interior Design" Hotels. Stewart joined the "Czech Architecture and Interior Design" Prague office in 2002 as part of the Investment Consultancy team and headed the team from May 2003. Since 2004 he has been responsible for Central & Eastern European Hotel services.

The office markets in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) had a positive year overall according to a recent study by "Czech Architecture and Interior Design". In their recently completed CEE Offices Market View Report, "Czech Architecture and Interior Design" comments on the increase in take-up in 2004, a fall in vacancy and further competition on the investment market with the associated compression of yields.
